Motherboard died is CPU also dead?

I bought new graphics card few days ago. Installed it in mobo. But didn't use standoffs. Case never came with those. GPU was overheating and I want to change the case. So, I unplugged all things and installed mobo in new case. That case had standoffs I installed them but one of them is broken. I screwed that one so tight that it stuck with mobo. Motherboard stopped working fans were spinning and maybe hard drives too (continuous beeps for faulty RAM). But no input signal with display (neither with graphics card nor with integrated GPU). Took that mobo out of that case installed it back in old case, but that standoff was still there.

After that same thing was happening, exchanged RAMs (I was only using a single stick of 4 GB, I tested it with another spare 2 GB RAM stick), single stick but nothing. Few forceful attempts later to insert RAM more deeper. I saw sparking near RAM slot or CPU fan header (any of them sparked) I think RAM slot. Mobo died, at least my graphics card is safe, took it out before forcing RAM sticks in the mobo. Removed PSU, HDD, SSD and those are working fine with another PC, from which I am currently typing.

Now the question is, is my CPU safe and will it harm my new mobo (I will buy soon).
