My computer has a normal memory usage of around 70%.
It's using 6 GB out of the 8 I have and when running games the memory usage reaches 85%-95%.
Im on a Windows 8 PC (8.1 now).
After games crash due to the high memory usage, i become unable to open Ctrl+Alt+Del, but this problem only lasts for about 20 seconds.
When I check the resource monitor it states tha only 20 MB of memory are actually free and its using constantly 6300 MB.

I had previously scan with MWB and the problem is still very real

When looking in Task Manager, click on the Memory header and see what's chewing up the most memory.

Was MWB up-to-date when you scanned, and did you also check with an antivirus?

I use 8.1 as well, and I find that if I leave Chrome running too long it starts eating memory like candy, and some of the add-ons don't quit when Chrome is closed, if this is the case, find those add-ons and remove them.

I did disable all the add-ons and extensions and little was the effect
I went to another thread and as was suggested, I disabled A LOT of startup apps. It reduced normal memory usage to a mere 20%.
Thanks for you help anyway
