Hey guys. I would like to ask a quick question regarding the performance of Intel Core i3-4160 along with GTX 650Ti (1GB GDDR5) With 6 or 8 gigs of 1333MHz RAM. How well can it handle games like Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, The Crew and GTA V. Can I use a Medium-High mixture and achieve 45+ FPS in these games? Also, can it run Photoshop CS6? I'm on a budget build. Thanks.

uhh, in the range but better would be another i3 if AMD isn't an option, either an i3-43XX or an i3-4170. the higher the number after the i3 the better it is, and you can't overclock any of the i3s...
the 650ti will have some issues getting medium-high settings I suspect.

It shouldn't have problems running photoshop either.

It like would be more expensive to get a set for 4gbs of ram and a 2gb stick than to get a single or kit of 8gbs.

Get the 8 for photoshop.

@DeathrRabbit, that's not really a good way to show performance. and the 3rd link is for older gen processors.

the AMDs may have more raw horsepower, but they don't necessarily apply it very well in gaming applications.

Yes I know intel get 15-20% between i3-3xxx and i3-4xxx but still X4 860K is better choice :)
i3 is only better in single and dual thread application by factor 20% and 10%.
Any way is better to take G3258 instead of i3 if you want up to 2 thread performance :)

Again, not true. You have to heavily overclock the g3258 to match an i3-stock in performance, and that requires an OC motherboard, and aftermarket CPU coolers.

the i3 has hyperthreading to support it when it needs the extra cores, and even the first article you linked mentions this.

Thanks for your replies. However, I live in a weird place where AMD processors are no where to be found and they can't be ordered online. Just Intel. Secondly, I have already purchased the GTX 650Ti. Thirdly, this weird place I'm living in doesn't have the G3258 either *sigh*. So please suggest a processor which is in the range of the i3-4160 and performs better than it. I'll search for used if its a previous gen processer.
EDIT: Also, I'm not that overclocking type of guy. I want to run my system on full stock atleast at the moment.
