For gaming it's kind of a waste of money. There's not much to say about it except you spent a lot of money on a system that will run current and recent future games at max settings.

I don't see a monitor(s) listed that will make good use of it though.

(I say this after spending $5000 on a rig once and realizing in the future it's better to just get good $1000 rigs every so often, and more fun.)

My Monitor is the LG 34UC97 34" Curved LCD Monitor and I know my PC is way overkill but how long do you guys think it will last me? In terms of being "future proof" I do a bit of video editing too

I hope you make video editing your career to make good use of the system then, it's still overkill for video editing unless you're getting paid to edit videos and the faster you can do it the more you can earn. (or meet deadlines, whatever)

Future proof is a myth. it should be good for 4 years though, but you could have instead just built a new $1000 PC every year and still have spent less.

What video processing software do you use that can make use of 3 TritonX's?
also you will need the 5930k as the 5820 only has 28 lanes of pcie. triple tritons will need the 40 that the 5930 supplies. (5960X also has 40 lanes) and each triton will want 16 lanes all by itself.

2x Titan x's should be enough for 1440p and upgading to 5930k would be a good idea...

build a cheaper one, in about 3 years your build wont be the fastest and it will only be very powerconsuming.
build a cheaper one with mayby a gtx 970 or a 980. and last of all get an ssd, its 70 dollars for an evo 840 128gb ssd, and it will speed up alot of things.

what if the OP doesn't have time to play games in 3 years?

I upgraded from a 980 to a Titan X and I'm very happy with my purchase.
1440p @ 144 hz needs more than a single 980....

When Pascal comes it's time to upgrade...
