I have heard that in crossfire and sli that it splits the vram between the cards and am wondering if the single larger card is the exception even though it is still considered crossfire though on a singe card?
R9 295X2 is a dual GPU and each one of those GPU's is only 4GB. So you would have 4GB of VRAM. But with DX12 around the corner they're promising that SLI/Crossfire will make VRAM stack up. So that R9 295X2 would be an 8GB card once DX12 comes out.
