I have a hp Compaq C2D 7800 desktop pc with 2.6 ghz processor and 1gb of ram. I currently have windows 8.1 installed which sometimes stuck on minor applications. will increasing ram memory to 3 or 4gb help improve my pc's performance.

yes, 1gb of ram is not much, barely enough to run minor/small applications, i suggest upgrading to 4gb to make it run smoothly
