The brand does not matter. What matters is the CL value(latency) and the frequency. If you have, for example, CL11, like I do, you *can* put a CL10 RAM, but it is not guaranteed to work. Same goes for frequencies. These must match.

Hi Blitzilla28,
I'm Jewel with Kingston US Technical Support and would like to address your question. The MSI 870 G45 motherboard supports memory in Dual Channel mode. That means that you would need identical pairs of memory modules. So as long as the second pair of 2GB memory modules you get come as a pair or are identical then it should work. It would be better to get memory that is the same speed or frequency as the memory that you already have to be sure they will work together. But usually the system should be able to clock down the memory that is faster to match the slower memory. This is not guaranteed and it is always best to have all memory matching in the system to be certain it works well together.

Thank you for using Kingston memory.
