help! my r9 270x crossfire stuck at x8 both cards

when i play dying light

gpu-z shows my 1st card running at x16 (x8)
and 2nd card also x16 (x8)

motherboard msi 970a - g46

have 2 r9 270x
performance is very good at crossfire though!

any solutions?

if you want CF BOTH graphic cards must run at the same speed eg 8x or both 16 X ...you cant run 1 graphic card on 16x and 1 on 4 X in CF
so you are stack with both on 8x or simply using only 1 grpahic card on 16 ..( remove the 2nd GC )
but you wont NOTice ANy difrence if your GC work on 16X or 8 X ....its not an titan x or 295x2 that will saturate those 8 lanes
even if you had MB with 36 lanes like 990FX and both grpahic cards n X16 there wil be 0.01 FPS difrence

In general outside of very high end boards(sometimes they even need and extra chip), x16 gets split to 2 X8 slots for crossfire and SLI.

You are not going to loose any performance.

Yes, even if it was 16x on both slots you would only gain a few fps at best. It's pretty much irrelevant.
