Hi

Suggested order of tests
1) remove any over clocking especially of ram
1a) confirm only one anti virus Internet security package installed
If more than one decide which to uninstall
2) run memtest86 ( bootable ram tester) or version on windows vista or later dvd's
3) test hard drive using manufacturers diagnostics program looking for bad sectors
Software in 2) & 3) on Hirens boot CD
4) monitor cpu temperature for over heating
there is probably something on motherboard driver disk to do this
4b) for desktop PC look inside case for clogged heat sink & fans or air filters
5) scan for malware using 2 or 3 different programs
Inc malware bytes ,super antispyware, on line scanners etc
6) check voltage of 12v & 5v lines from psu...

Find a molex connector red to black 5v yellow to black 12v
A psu tester is better but a simple volt meter will do

Hopefully one of these steps will help locate problem
