Hi, I was wondering what would be the best parts for setting up the water cooling loop for the EVGA GTX 980 Hydro Copper graphics card, as well as what coolant you guys recommend.

Thanks,

Solution
1. I would avoid the Hydropcooper. While historically it has decent GPU temps, the VRAM temps have significantly lagged the better GFX water blocks by about 12C ..... the Hyrocoppers VRM temps are absolutely dismal at a whopping 30C above the competition. That pretty much takes away any value of water cooling

2. What type of setup are you looking for ? A swiftech H240-X is an all in one and combined with the Asus Poseidon, it does very well for a 1st time venture into water cooling.

3. I looking for a custom loop, I would recommend

EK Supremacy Evo
EK 980 Water Block for MSI 980
Swiftech D5 PWM Vari Speed Pump
Alphacool XT45 w/ ( 3 or 6 Phanteks FSP-140 Fans)
Mayhems Blitz Kit for Cleaning Rads
Mayhels pastel coolant...

Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Case

wattage for rad sizing = 185 (GFX) + 135 (CPU) + 20 pump = 340 watts
340 x 60% = 204 watts

At 1,000 rpm (3) of the Phanteks fans will give you 203 watts of cooling

Thank you for the detailed answer, its just that I am buying an evga 980 hydrocopper on alibaba.com for 200 USD, which is the cheapest I could find from an authorized north american dealer, and its a hydrocopper. Any workarounds?

You do realize that EK made the current Hydro Copper blocks for the 900 series?
