Can I return a used SSD without it being obviously used?

I recently bought an SSD and found that I no longer need it so would like to return it. My question is though, is it obvious that it has been used or would they find out and not give me a refund?

I cannot think of a store that would not accept a used one back. How can you tell if you like it if you do not use it? Just wipe any data off you do not want shared because they might sell it as is to the next victim.
