I don't know what the case I have is called, it's just some old case I have, but the PSU is a Dell D275P-00. The PSU looks like it'll be too small for my case, will this be a problem?

Then you are in luck, that seup makes it possibly to make a "frame" you screw to your case and then screw your psu to your new made framepart, takes the messurements and take it to your local blacksmith.

Probably not because you screw the PSU to the case. But most PSU and cases are compatible because the PSU have a pretty standard size.

Hello Jayden82,

you can use any standoff or any object, that will keep your PSU at desired height, you want it to be. What object you're going to use,it's up to you, dosen't really matter, just make sure it's fire-free, it can't light up (fire).

All best,
Randor.

The case I'm going to be putting it into looks like this:

I know that the PSU has enough power to power everything I use, but I'm transferring everything from a Dell Optiplex 755 and getting a new motherboard to use with the new case.

The PSU i'm putting into the new case is the Dell D275P-00.

What about the empty space that the PSU will not cover?

(its just a flat metal shet, with a hole in the middle for psu and 8 holes for screws).
