So i just got myself an Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard, AMD FX 8350, A GTX 970 and a 850W corsair PSU now after setting it all up along with my 16GB ram the mobo LED power light just keep flashing and power seems to be going to the CPU and GPU without me truning the pc on. when i try the power button nothing happens. I also have a ASUS M5A78L-M for my streaming pc so i put all the new items onto that board and its working fine. does anyone know why the new MOBO is not working and should i contact amazon for a replacement?

Try starting the board outside the case, both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected, only CPU and CPU fan installed (no other connections). See if the CPU fan does spin.
If still no go, and you've tested the power supply with the other setup, then yes, it might be a board issue.

i did disconnect everything and put things on one by one. the led power light on the mother board was fine with just the cpu running as soon as i put the GPU on the board that's when it started to flash, then after taking it back off and just having the CPU on it was flashing again. all the other items are running right now iv just been gaming with them for 4 hours to make sure its none of the other components
