Slow usb transfer speed between motherboard (Asus VII Hero) and USB 3.0 flash drive.

When I transfer files, I get max 7/12MB/s with an usb 3 flash drive. this is something that plagued my previous build, but I cant for the life of me figure out why. tested with another laptop yesterday and it got consistent speeds of 50/70MB/s. I have checked and made sure I have the latest drivers for my board.

A few things:
1/ Is USB enabled in BIOS
2/ Are you connecting to a USB 3 port, not all ports are USB 3
3/ Some MB share there USB bandwidth with PCI devices, see if this is the case with you.
