Hi... I'm getting a laptop from my Uni... these are my options within budget... note option 1 comes standard with an i5 but i can upgrade it to the i7 within budget (I assume that's not a bad plan) main difference is one has dedicated GPU and one has SSD (and is a newer build and better body, but less easily upgraded)
I mostly do Science. Also some music and video editing.
