I have an I7 2600k with an H60 water cooler that's running 40-45c idle and closer to 50c under load.
That's seems like a safe range, so I'm not concerned about overheating/damage, I'm just a little disappointed about the results I'm getting with this setup.
I know it's no the best liquid coolers on the market, but I though it would be better than my old Coolermaster hyper n520.

Do these temps sound right for this setup ?

-No oc
-push pull on radiator
-Bottom case fan pulling in
-Front case fan pulling in
-Two top fans pushing out.
-All 120mmm
-Three of which are high static pressure corsair fans.

The H60 is outperformed by almost any mid range air cooler. Only the H100/110 do as well as a high end air cooler and will slightly beat the higher end air coolers with 4 fans in a push pull configuration. The self contained water loops are loud, expensive and have parts that can break. Unless you use a case where size is an issue I always recommend air over a self contained unit.

My 2600K hits the low 60s at 4.5Ghz when stressing it using Prime 95 and I have a mid tier Scythe Mugen 2. I idle in the mid 30s.

Yep. Only a single 120mm fan though. Nowhere as good as a Noctua or Phanteks.

Thanks for the help so far. My new case has plenty of space, but my old one was pretty tight and that cooler was taking up a lot of space.
I've heard people say they're idling around 30-35 with this cooler, so I was wondering if it was something simple, like thermal paste or something.
I'm using Tg2 from tiger direct.
Should I consider reapplying or purchasing some artic silver ?

Thanks again. I have the case fans connected to the chassis 1 and 2 headers on the mobo, but for some reason, Corsair Link isn't changing the speeds of the fans when I select performance, balanced or quite.

I've found setting for a stable oc and i would like to use them, but I have them turned off until I can adjust fan speed according to temps.
The thing is, I have to have the radiator pump plugged into a header that doesn't allow me or the os to adjust the it.

Will the the cpu header be ok adjust the fan speeds around the radiator according to the temps it reads ?
