Ok there will be lots of questions and text plz read everything and help :D I need help with my current build as well as ideas for future.

so currently my goal is to build a beast of a gaming PC for Star citizen persistent universe. but this is 2-3 years away. I would hate/ cant afford to drop big money twice for a build. But my current PC is having issues with SC.
this is my system spec.
i5-2500k OC 4.5Ghz
16G Corsar Vengence
xFx Radon R9-290A EDFD 4G
ASUS P867 Pro
120G SSD Corsar 3 (OS and games)
500G hard Drive (storage and games)
250GS SSD Cruix (games)
OS windows 7 ultimit 64bit
850W OCZ
For this years release of squadron 42 what should i do to make this better? Should I upgrade MB, and CPU? but if i do that I will be behind the curve for the PU release in 2years or so....granted i can save money for 2 years for next upgrades.

question 1: do i need an upgrade, what is it ect?
question 2: would OC GPU help fps?, would addeding a 2nd gpu help? or adding a 2nd gpu but as a dedicated Physic card.
question 3: help :??:

thank you ever-one the helps.

Solution
SC2 is a very CPU demanding game so no surprise in that usage, both your CPU and GPU are giving the most out of them right now, for a big increase in performance as I mentioned before would be to get either a more powerful video card or to add a 2nd R9 290 for Crossfire.

OCing/getting better RAM won't really help, faster RAM will only have a noticeable impact on rendering / heavy database applications.

Certainly a new CPU (like the i7-4790k) would give a better performance, but we are talking about 10-20fps in the best case scenario, whereas a bigger GPU/ 2nd GPU would yield easily 40+fps at the same settings you're currently using.
Best option would be to go with a GTX 980, or at least add a 2nd R9 290 and Crossfire it, your CPU OCed should be delivering almost the same performance of a i7-4770 @4/4.2 Ghz, so really changing CPU + Mobo won't yield a big increase in performance.

Crossfire (adding a 2nd card) will give a huge boost practically in every single game you throw at it, but bear in mind that it depends entirely on whether or not the game has been optimized to take advantage from it, so if you are to consider Crossfire first make sure the games you intend to play are well optimized for it, modern games should be but better make sure.

OCing a GPU helps but not that much, only if were like hitting 50fps and wanna reach 60fps, a bigger improvement is hard to reach depending on your GPU and BIOSes for it you find around in the net.

But do i have any sort of bottle neck? could i gain some performance by ocing the ram? or by getting better ram?
Also While playing SC my CPU usage is almost 90% ! why so high? How can i optimize so the gpu is better i guess is the question.
thank you for your replay RaDikal
