okay, let get to the point!

I am hestitating to buy these three cards:

GIGABYTE R9 270x OC 2GB WINDFORCE: 207,000W (korean) about 193USD

ZOTAC GTX 960 OC 2GB: 246,000W about 230USD

GIGABYTE GTX 960 Windforce 3x OC 2GB: 291,000W about 272USD

My reason is that I am using an AMD FX 8350, I thought maybe get an Radeom GPU would be a great combination. But after seeing the price of the Zotac GTX 960 (almost 50USD different), I was like why not go for the recently new GPU that just came out.

I went online and check out the two cards and the GTX 960 rules out the 270x most of the time.

And a little more research later, I found this ~300USD GPU, GIGABYTE GTX 960 Windforce 3x OC 2GB. I was like why not this one that will have cooler temp on the card and it will little more expensive than the other two since I am going for the long run.

This is my first ever build and I was thinking of using it for at least two years or so, maybe close to 3 years before I move on to an upgrade. I do not have much money for the GTX 970 (450USD if buy in Korea) or other cards that have that price range, since I am living in Korea and the dollars rise up so everything is pretty 2x the regular price. (newegg)

My problem with the 270x is that it consume more power compare to the Zotac GTX 960, and I can feel that I wouldnt take me to that 2 years time of gaming and Streaming.

I have no problem with the Zotac so far, but just thought that it will be better to have the Windforce 3x maybe it will cool down the temp.

But after seeing the Windforce 3x power consumption, I was surprised and get held back.

And now I am asking you which of the three should pick for the long run with a less power consumption.

I will be playing alot of Battlefield 4 (mainly), and other upcoming FPS. And some other RPGs (Assassin Creeds Series). A little bit of Farcry, or Tomraider (that kind of heavy stuffs). But mainly FPS and Twitch Streaming for the future.

If you get confused, let me know.

Thank you!

Those cards are at different price points so not the best comparison. But performance wise the 960 should beat the 270x, but a 280x will beat the 960 around the same price (maybe even a little cheaper)

I just do not understand why AMD make their clock speed lower, in this case. 960 have a pretty high clock speed, but performances wise, AMD took over.

Can you recommend me a power supply for my spec?

AMD FX 8350
ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0
R9 280x VaporX 3gb
8GB of RAM
Seagate 1TB 2x

PSU requirements are usually over stated to protect themselves. Many try and use cheap quality/price PSUs.
The PSU I listed is of high quality. Good value for the price, and will handle your system. You could opt for more wattage, but do not skimp on quality,
