Hi there, I just got my new build and started cpu overclocking. these are my specs:

i5 4690k
Gigabyte z97 gaming 3
2x8gb g,skill tridentx 2133

so I am using XMP memory profile 1 which sets the mem clock at 2133 like it should be. Now I started overclocking with the "upgrade" mode in my mobo bios, upped it to 20% giving me 4,3ghz at decent temperatures, thing is... as soon as I use that upgrade mode ram clocks back to 1600mhz even using XMP so I set it manually to 21.3 multiplier to run ram at the intended 2133 mhz. Any danger there? Is that normal?

thank you both, already found the mistake (btw, my ram is stock 2133), issue was that what I was using automated presets that also affected ram (and upped the voltage far to high by the way) switched to manual and now it works like a charm.
