Best graphics card for an A8-5600k?

I'm looking to get a graphics card for my relatively new build that was given to me - not a huge tech savvy so I have no real idea what's best right now.

Specs are;
AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
Asus F2A85-M PRO Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard
8GB RAM
450W Corsair Power Supply

My friend recommended a GTX 750 Ti or the Sapphire Radeon R9 270 although we're wondering if the power supply would need to be upgraded for either of those as well?

The GTX750Ti is probably a better match for your CPU. If you prefer AMD, then a R7 260X would be similar, or use the R9 270 but there may be some bottlenecking in some games.
Which Corsair PSU do you have? Some are made with low-quality (Samxon) capacitors that cannot take heat and tend to fail early (<= 1 year).

My apologies for not knowing the exact model of the PSU - I hope this is what you mean.
It's labelled as the CS450M - 450 Watt 80 PLUS Gold Certified PSU

I was leaning towards the GTX 750 Ti anyhow, I'm not particular on specific brands. Mainly because it's slightly cheaper (trying to keep it within the £100 / $150 range).
