So i'm looking at purcasing one of three GPU configurations.
GTX 980 x 2 (SLI)
GTX Titan X (Just one)
R9 295x2
I currently have an i5 3570k (LGA 1155), in order for me to go SLI I will need to upgrade my motherboard (~$120-$150) so this is a contributing factor. I also have a 750w EVGA PSU (gold cert) so in order for me to upgrade to a R9 295x2 I will need to upgrade to ~1100w PSU (~$140-$150).
I'm trying to stay w/in ~$1000-$1100 and I want good 4k performance. I am ultimately leaning towards the GTX Titan X since it requires the least amount of adjustment and frustration (I would like to omit dealing w/ SLI if possible, I hear it can be a pain in the posterior).
Will my i5-3570k bottleneck a single GTX Titan X?
While i'm at it, the GTX Titan X manual mentions 16gbs of system memory recommended. If all I do is game (possible video editing in the future), will I need anything more than the 8gbs that I currently have? or should I upgrade that as well?
Thanks in advance
