I want to ask if these two will be a good pair for gaming (don't want ultra graphics) with 2 GB RAM or I should look or 2 GB more RAM and a cheaper gpu. The processor model is Intel Core2Duo e4600.

Note: Don't want to buy a new processor because of budget issues as I have to build a new CPU for it.

I have a Q8400 + GTX750Ti. Its not a bad match. That been said, imho you should go this way:

not worth it IMO, you might see better performance in games , but you will be bottlenecked pretty badly.
I would get an AMD 5800k (or any other decent AMD A series)
and a cheap mb for ~50$(for example : http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-A68H-Micro-Motherboards-GA-F2A68HM-HD2/dp/B00TTOKAQC/ref=sr_1_12?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1428423378&sr=1-12&keywords=AMD)
plus a cheap memmory (http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-1600MHz-Non-ECC-HX316C9SR/dp/B00N8H07TG/ref=sr_1_9?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1428423770&sr=1-9)

and you got yourself a worthwhile platform upgrade that you can in the future just add an amd R7\9 250\ 260\270 and get good performance for a total of less than 180$ (30$ more expensive than an 750ti) If its too expensive you can get a slightly cheaper cpu, look for 2nd hand ones.
Any cpu these days will deliver over twice the performance of an old e4600 ,even the dual core ones.

with your cpu i would not go over an hd 5750 \ GTS 450 so if you decide to stay with it just get one of those from 2nd hand.

First of all , what is your current graphics card?
if its anything close to an 8800GT i wouldn't bother upgrading.
If not , then get a 2nd hand 8800GT\9800GT for like 25$ and save your money as anything over that is just not worth it.
or you can get one of the newer low tier gpus like the 730.
I think your best option will be saving a few more bucks for a new platform because the e4600 is really outdated.
