Dell precision690 light 3 &4 blinking

Hello all,
while starting 3 and 4 both lights blinking and then it is goint to off and 4 is on. kindly resolve the issue.

when 3 & 4 is on, this means the computer is in sleep mode and 4 means its turned off but is connected to a mains supply.

From what i understand you encounter this when you turn the PC on?

Yes, everytime i am going to turn on pc, same thing happened. 3 &4 blinking and after that its turned off and 4 is remain on.

Try resetting the BIOS settings first and see if anything changes.

It could be messed up power management settings

Thanks for early response, I removed the battery and reinstall but it still happened. Is there any solution kindly help.

Just reinstalling the battery may not reset the settings.

Try following these steps -

Disconnect any network cables

disconnect the mains power cable

Hold down the power button for a few seconds

Find the CMOS jumpers and remove the jumper (note down where it was)

Place the jumper on the RTCRST pins and wait for atleast 5 seconds

After this, place the jumper back in its original place

NOTE - The jumper is placed near a small heatsink near the battery and the RTCRST pins are near the battery

Also, if this doesn't work then try disconnecting the disk drives and hard drives.
