Hello Guys,
Last week, we started construction at my house. Everything was fine until they started working on the roof. The power came off, so we had to reset the circular breaker and all that stuff. Then all of a sudden, my wifi and tv stopped working. It sends a signal but no internet access. My Verizion home phone was still working, just not my wifi and tv. I then discovered that there were wires that were cut off due to the construction on the roof. I told my dad and he told the workers and then they fixed it. I thought the problem was solved, but when i checked again, the wifi and tv still wasnt working. It was the same and there was a signal, but i couldnt access the internet. The internet light was off also on my router, so i know it wasnt a device problem. I checked my ONT because my research was telling me to do that and its showing-
Battery - Green
Fail- Off
Video- Off
Network- Green
OMI- Green
Pots- Off
MoCA- Flashing Red
I've reset the BBU/ONT, that didnt work. I could access my router via 192.168.1.1, so i did a factory reset, that didnt work. I turned off and turned back on my modem and router. I believe that my TV will only work until my router works or something so i cant do anything about that.
Here is my ipconfig /all thingy also-

My router is an Actiontec MI424-WR Rev. D and it came from Verizion

Ablazegunner,

All the information you provided leads me to believe that the external connectivity to the internet has not been fully (if at all) restored.

What "wires" were cut? Coax, Fiber cables, telephone, power? Can you see the wires and get any specifications off of them. Most cables have printed information running along their length.

I suspect that the fix was not correctly done (if really done at all).

Most construction workers do not have the applicable skills or tools to fix fiber and probably not coax. No disrespect intended - that is just the way it is. They have other skills and training.

Can you identify the cables and safely locate where they were cut? Someone else may need to take a look at the damage and...
