Hey there, I was just wondering if Dragon Age Inquisition is worth it on PC at a sale price of $29.99 CAD? I have heard that the PC controls are not the greatest but I do have a Xbox 360 controller for Windows.

Solution
PC controls are absolute garbage, it's only barely playable on a 360 controller.

On another note, if you liked Dragon Age: Origins, you probably won't like Inquisition. I wasn't even planning on getting Inquisition because Dragon Age 2 was horrible and Bioware is a shadow of their former selves. But my girlfriend got it for me as a birthday present so I had to play it. The gameplay is mind-numbingly easy, you literally just hold down the right trigger to win the game, no real tactics involved.

I hate controller games but I did have to end up using a controller on this game. I played on PC. Now to the good stuff... This game is sweet it is so addicting you will be stuck for 150 hours or so traipsing around killing random things in random ways. At a discount it is totally worth it you wont regret it. As for silver I know he had it set on easy to have it be so "easy" so ignore that..

:p

Nope, I had it on Hard and played as an Elf Female Rogue Archer. I would enter a battle, hold down the right trigger to fire arrows, then took a nap, woke up occasionally to tell my idiot party members to drink a health potion and wait for the enemy's health bar to disappear. My play-through was 120 hours with only 7 of those hours actually being somewhat engaging because the game is filled with MMO style padding and having to collect arbitrary amounts of "power" to do the story missions.

I know this is only my opinion and some people would disagree, but according to Metacritic, a lot of people feel the same way as me. The game itself does function, it's not broken, there are many games out that are worse and some of the characters are interesting. But Inquisition was too simple for me, maybe I was spoiled by Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale or any Bioware game made before 2010. Bioware said this game was designed for people who loved the tactical combat of Dragon Age: Origins, and they lied.

Hi,
Plenty of REVIEWS online you should read instead of going by comments here.

It's getting very good reviews.

Update:
I'm not sure how much DLC they'll end up with but I personally am going to WAIT and get it later when everything is in one package.

Keyboard control patch??
http://blog.bioware.com/2014/12/08/upcoming-patches-and-features-for-dragon-age/

"Keyboard & Mouse controls – Patch 2 includes the first range of fixes towards addressing the feedback we’ve received on the PC controls..."

I don't own the game so maybe someone can confirm if recent patches have addressed any of this.

I've played the game through on Nightmare a couple times. It was a decent game. It is not as good as Dragon Age: Origins, but then the game was clearly designed to fit what a console could do, resulting in a dumbed down RPG. As long as you take the game as a new game, and not have the expectations of another Dragon Age: origins, it is a good game.

It may not be the most challenging game, but you certainly have to do more than hold down the right button. Clearly the guy is being dramatic. There will be a number of encounters that require a lot more micro management than that. Especially if you play on Nightmare difficulty.

The game seems to have melded a bit of Skyrim into the mix, making much of the game like a Sandbox game, but you can advance the story line when you are ready.

I would buy it if you like great graphics. It'll last you a long while, depending on how much you play it. I'm not even a Dragon Age fan and I "really" thought I didn't like it, but I ended up loving it and now it is one of my favorite games and can't wait for the next one. But I'm quite bored of it now after the 4th play through and spending almost 400 hrs in it. I keep missing the sales on it and spent $75 on it, but it was worth it for me, 12/10 score from me :)

YEah definitely. Dragon age Inquisition is a great game with great storyline, excellent build diversity, deep crafting system and pretty good graphics aswell. For someone who likes RPG games it's a must to play. For people who are less familiar with RPGs it's still worth a try.
