Suggestions for sleek mid tower cases for a new build

I'm going to build a new rig. Currently I am aiming for an ATX build preferntialy in a mid tower rather than full, but if the design is sexy I may be won over. Could you suggest other potential cases you think fit the profile as I don't feel I have hit gold just yet?

I am looking for a sleek minimalistic tending case with the following features:

  • ■ No internal flashy LEDs or corrugated beastly shapes or tribal patterns.
    ■ Something that doesn't look like a plain office box.
    ■ Preferably not an overly black case.
    ■ Metal over plastic as a material, I like windows for side panels.
    ■ Good cable management options, dust resistance and quality of life features are a welcome bonus.
    ■ I do still have a cd drive.

Here are the ones I have been looking at style wise and a few notes of what I have liked so far:

I have the FT02 it's definitely sexy, cable management behind the mobo isn't the best though. Have you checked out the In Win 904? Maybe the Corsair 760T? Antec P100?

Are you interested in mAtx or mItx?

The phanteks enthoo evolv is pretty nice. (there are actually a lot of nice cases in this size)

Thank you for your answer.
That is your preferrential ranking for the ones I listed or do you also like the same cases? Any others to add maybe?

I am kinda eyeballing the FT02 the most at this moment, have you found that the vertical mount works nicely or maybe offers better cooling? I am planning on an air cooled system and aim for very low idel temps so that I can slow down or shut off all fans to make it dead silent when not in full use.

I am interested in mATX and mITX but I haven't looked into them a great deal, I was sort of discouraged by a friend who says you end up paying more for less. But a compact build is definitely an option as I have never really used SLi and don't plan to, I tend to upgrade so rarely that a single card is better than 2. I saw the Corsair 380t which looks funky for mITX but I am open to any suggestions.

The InWin 904 is gorgeous but it looks a tad expensive given its impracticality, the Corsair 780t is a bit too plasticy and the Antex P100 is a contender with the Fractal R4 which I feel surpasses it.

The Phanteks enthoo evolv also looks great but it feels a little dust hungry and its side mounted USBs seem a little awkward. Have you had hands on experience with it?

Thanks for the suggestion.

Ah the be quiet! Silent base 800, it is a case I have seen and it does look nice but it kinda falls back into the black plastic box category. Don't get me wrong I have heard good things about its internal space management and it has some nifty dust resistance. But it seems like jumping into a similar thing from my ThermalTake Element S case albeit with a better build quality.

I totally agree with you, the side panel on the 760t is nice but the front and rest looks a little lack luster to me, whereas the R4 is pretty sweet all around!

Hello man

Honorable

H440 (you need an external CD USB3.0 enclosure, pretty cheap on newegg)
Corsair 330R Titanium (good build quality, pretty cheap)
Phanteks Enthoo Primo (white)
Phantoms makes other white cases, check them out.

I suppose I use the CD drive so rarely I could use a USB one though it's kinda convenient to just slap it in and leave it there rather than have to pull it out and connect it.

The Corsair 330R Titanium is pretty sleek and at a good price point, its just very black, it would be nice if they splashed some other colours too.

The Primo is quite nice but rather pricy and it comes with the extra lights I am not really too bothered about. I like their Evolv case and its still making me question whether I should go towards micro ATX or ITX.

I have indeed, its a nice case but not my favourite. I am currently shifting towards a mATX build as I figured I have never used more than 1 PCIe or 2 at most so making it all more compact seems ideal. I am eyeballing the Phantek Evolv more and more though the Node 804 or Corsair 240 are both interesting.

Hi there, thank you for adding to my thread, I had seen those cases indeed and some designs are really nice, though after much thought at the moment I am considering actually building my own since this project will likely span the next 6 months.
