So im down to one of the last parts for my build... The CPU Cooler.

I need you inputs.

Choices are:
NZXT X61 Kraken
Corsair's H100i GT

Question: How loud are these? Fan Noise? Pump Noise?

Am i better of using a Heatsink? If so. What would be your suggestion.

Im doing a black/green build. It has to fit into the theme.

I wanted the beQuiet Dark Rock but it's not available here in the Philippines. Noctua's are awesome but i'm not digging the color scheme. So i really really need your help to find a compromise between silence and looks.

If the fans on the H100i GTX are anything like the ones on the regular H80i, they can get pretty loud. A custom profile is able to keep them in check fairly well(they do have some noise still).

Now you come to the big all in one cooler problem. The pump. Countless reviews are conflicted about how loud they are. Some say loud others call them silent.

I have only tried 2 all in one coolers. One is a H80i and its pump is dead quiet(honestly have to place my head right next to it). My raid is over the pump so this may help. I also have an LQ310 that makes allot more noise(sounds like a hard drive seeking all the time) from its pump. The pump is over the rad so this may be part of the reason.

In the end, Larger heatsinks(NH-D14 for example) tend to be more quiet if you are willing to tweak the fan speeds a bit(even at max the NH D14 fans are more quiet than the stock ones on many all in one units.).

This is not to say all in ones are bad, they save space and with some tweaks make for an interesting video card cooler. :)
