Hello

I recently installed my Cosair H100i, and with it the Cosair link software. While it is clear to see the fans are running, and the temperatures are reading around 37 degrees in idle. (Seen in the MSI Command Center for my motherboard).

I seem to have some kind of software problem. I have been searching for a solution, at first the H100i didn't show in my Cosair Link, which was fixed through editing 3 values in the registry.

Now I can't seem to make Cosair Link read my CPU temperature, or for that matter the actual H100i pump temperature.

I tried reinstalling it, updating a few drivers and such without any luck though. Does anyone know a good solution to this?

Specs:
i7 4790k CPU + H100i Cooler
MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard

Thanks in advance!

I found the Corsair Link worked better connected to some USB headers on the motherboard than others (this was my Rampage IV Formula mobo) - so I would try attaching it to a different USB header and see if you get a better result

Okay so after swapping the USB, it still have problems. The software sometimes manages to get the degrees on the CPU, then it dissapears shortly after.

I tried reinstalling the Corsair Link again as well, still nothing. Any other ideas?

Yeah it is working, however I do not have any control of the fans unless I use the Corsair Link. Then I should move the fans to the fan headers on the motherboard?

Can it be because my pump is connected to a fan header and not a system header?

I don't know your specific motherboard, other than that it is considered a good one, and as such I would expect it to have fan control built in - you may well have some software on the driver disc that came with the motherboard for controlling fans? Otherwise it will be in the BIOS...

Even with Corsair Link running, I would expect you to be utilising the mobo fan headers....?

The Corsair Link cable is then just a single extra cable from the pump to a USB header (presuming nothing's changed since I bought my H100i a few years back...)

Look up 'PWM' fans
