I Have the ASUS 15 inch windows 8 laptop and i have just started having problems with the keyboard, there are some buttons that don't work, and controls on the desktop. For example, my windows 8 "home button" has stopped working. Also on the desktop.. my volume is stuck on 100%. And whenever I try to turn it down, it goes back up to full volume. It is very frustrating... Any suggestions??

Could be system errors try downloading this and running it, only the free version, don't pay for the upgrade there is no need. http://download.cnet.com/System-Mechanic-Free/3000-18512_4-10030183.html
I'm not sure if this will help but there's a chance.
As for the keyboard that may be the ribbon on the inside has come loose.
