Hello everyone, I've came to ask about what would be a good PC case to mod.

Requirements
*Preferably be an older case from 2000-2009.
*Preferably be a small form factor. (I don't know, I just like more compact cases)
*It has too fit a PSU that I can purchase from companies like Seasonic, XFX, EVGA, Corsair, etc... (Can't be an OEM that I wouldn't be able to buy)
*Be able to fit a standard size GPU. (Doesn't need to fit a 13 in. GPU)
*Something that isn't hard to get my hands on.
*Fit an ATX/MATX motherboard if the case isn't a small form factor. (Wanting to install a window and I hate the way an ITX motherboard looks in a standard case)

Thanks in advance! ;)

EDIT: I'm wanting a "vintage" case from companies such as Dell, Gateway, HP, Lenovo, etc...

I was wanting like a "vintage" case from Dell, HP, Gateway, etc... Probably should've specified that,

Head on over to a local computer store or computer recycling/disposal if you want a case to use as the core of something you are building.

Otherwise you can get brand cheap cases for about $20 + shipping. After you take the side panels and front off they are identical to cases from ten years ago.

Here's a classic supercase re-brand. I have three or so of these bought over the years. Simple and cheap for true budget builds. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/apex-case-sk393c

Now if you want something unique I do have a gutted Dual G5 Mac workstation laying around. http://www.dnamusiclabs.com/sites/default/files/G5.jpg

It is not ATX, so it would take some doing. Not sure if I am going to make a modding attempt on it, or just use my old Poweredge 4200 chassis for something akin to a Corsair Air 540 build. http://www.vonslatt.com/images/xcc2-dell-poweredge-4200.jpg.pagespeed.ic.tcXlY1WrVH.jpg

I think I can cram a very thick 120mm radiator in my current BitFenix ghost in the 3.5" drive bay I am not using, plus the 280mm mount up top should be enough for CPU and dual GPUs. Still looking into it. So I may just end up using that.

Lol I don't mean THAT vintage but it's close.

LOL.

I am currently working on my own Case Mod. It is a Mac G5 that I am converting to an E-ATX. I will be installing a MSI X-Power x99s mobo and a i7 5930k. I got two G5 cases so that I could take the two front panels for both the front and back.

I'd be interested in seeing that when it is done, shoot me a PM if you remember. I've always liked the way Apple made those particular chassis. Hasn't been one quite like it, though Lian Li has come close. (Picked mine up for $15 with no hard drive) Only decent conversion I've seen used a mini ITX board for some reason. Looked like he had a faceplate company make his rear I/O panel, then just cut away the back of the case to install it. Used a standard power supply though. I plan to modify the flat pack Apple has hanging out in the bottom.
