I'm pretty new to the computer building scene. My uncle helped me put one together recently with some parts he had lying around, and some others I purchased. I currently have a NVidia GeForce GTX 570 by Zotac. I'm wanting to upgrade without swapping out my motherboard or spending a ridiculous amount of money. My issue is my motherboard is a P6T7 WS SuperComputer board with PCI express 2.0x16. The only cards I'm finding higher than the GTX 570 with the 2.0x16 are these tiny graphics cards that pull their power from the motherboard and just look cheaply constructed. The card I have is huge with 2 fans and just looks solid, but is getting somewhat outdated I'm fearing. I guess my question is are these smaller cards like this NVidia GT730 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA30R2NZ4747 that I'm looking at good cards? Would my PC run newer games better to just twin the card I have? Or do I need to just start from scratch? Thanks for your time!

Solution
dude, any PCIe 3.0 card will work with a PCIe 2.0 slot. what is your budget, and where do you live (I guess that in the US because you used newegg)? what CPU do you have?

No need to worry! Most modern-day cards are PCI-E 3.0 but will work with 2.0! My motherboard is a 2.0 and I'm using a 3.0 and works fantastically.

Please could you post all of your other specs? Thanks
- Sam
