Hey

I am currently running a single r9 290 reference card from gigabyte on a 750 watt psu. I was wondering if the psu could handle another card for crossfire.

Also, if I were to have the same card by a different brand, and maybe with a different cooler, would crossfire still work.

Thank you :)

Solution
The 750 watt psu is cutting it close, but it depends on the rest of your rig and if you oc.

I would recommend a card with a aftermarket cooler instead of buying another reference, as stated above you can mix brands as long as it's a 290 or even a 290x, but the 290x will downclock to match you existing 290 so I would not recommend that.
