So Im planning on buying GTA V on pc and I dont have the quickest internet so would it be quicker to downloaad the game via steam or buy the disk copy for pc will it be quikcker to install it via disk ??

Solution
Buy it and preload it. Let it run all day and all night for as long as you need. I have slower internet too (8mbs down) and it says it'll take me 21 hours. I'm at 57gbs right now from when I started it yesterday.

Don't buy the disk. It could get damaged/ lost and having it on Steam allows you to play it on other machines if something happens to yours. Digital is better.

The only time I purchase physical copies is with collectors edition. Fancy boxes, mousepads, art books and so on.
Steam and similar services (battle.net) are much more convenient if you were to lose the physical option. You also have the benefit of preloading like above.

As someone who has 500KBps down, and thats the top available to me, I buy mostly digital.

Oh I didn't realize there was a pre load for the game if i had known that i wouldn't of pre order hard copy last week but would the disk copy be fairly quick would i have to wait like 24 hours like you or would it be alot quicker ?

The disk copy would take probably 30 or 40 minutes like on console. It just installs about 10gb of stuff. The problem with the disk is that you need to have it in, in order to play (if I understand you)
