Ram advice! skype,ts,browsing with intense gaming 1080p. 8gb ram enuf?. wats ur ram usage for this?

Im building a new pc and want to know if 8gb ram is enough to for me to play my maxed out games in 1080p whilst on skype or teamspeak and having browser tabs open? My gpu is gtx 970 and also 8gb ram is 130$ whilst 16gb is 260$ so quite expensive and i dont want a bottleneck so please give adviCe.

Ps what is ur ram usage when doing these things? Is it under 8gb or is it rlly pushing the envelope?

But to answer your question I use most of the RAM when I'm gaming, talking on skype and watching a Twitch stream and I have 8gb of RAM. 16gb isn't needed but it will make sure that you have more than enough RAM.

8gb is enough for now, games are actually starting to use about 4gbs of ram, whereas they use to use about 1.5gbs. You'll find that 6gbs would even be enough but for future purposes 8 is perfect!

Btw where do you live??? 8GBs of RAM should only cost about $60 if your in US

Im from nz so ram is 120 - 150$ for 8gb for 1600mhz normal hyperx and gskill ram. 150 for vengeance or vengeance lp and $200+ for that fominstor platnium ram. (ddr3). Also thanks for your answers guys the other threads had me worroed cuz im ona tight budget for obv reasons
