This is my first time building a pc and i got one hard drive and one solid state drive. I didnt have the sata express cable plugged into my 1tb hard drive when i installed windows because a video said i should do that to make sure windows would install on the ssd. Now when i try to plug in the sata express cable for the hdd and start up the computer it just stays blank. If i unplug the sata express cable i can start windows just fine. HELP i dont want to only a 230 gb ssd.

yes but i dont know if when i install the hard drive it switches to first priority automatically that might be why i cant get windows up if i switch around the connectors so ssd is in 1 and hdd is in 3 will it not do that if that is my problem

Idk what or why this happaned but i fixed it i would like to know if anyone can tell me why this happanned. So....... I installed windows into the ssd without my hdd plugged in. When i tried booting it up with hdd nothing would happen the screen would go blank and yes the ssd was first priority. I heard the optical drive making a sound so i took out the blu ray installation cd that was in there. Then when i rebooted everything worked fine????? was the optical drive doing something it shouldn't have. There is another thing i would like to ask about.... I went into windows and the hdd was there it wasn't unallocated i could see it on the desktop, but when i went back into the bios there was no hdd option in the boot priority only the ssd so is the hdd supposed to be in there somewhere?
