I own a cm devastator keyboard and mouse combo thing is whenever a specific switch is turned off in my parents room my keyboard backlight turn off.The reason i am worried is is it a psu issue or a motherboard issue since i have almost a year of warranty remaining on the psu thus would rma it,while gaming everything is fine underload so i dont think my psu has a problem.So what else could be the problem ?

i5-2300 @ 3.10 ghz
Gigabyte h61m-ds2 rev 1.0
zotac Gtx 970 engineering sample.
Hynix oem 1600mhz ram @1333mhz due to motherboard limitation
corsair vs 650 psu

I would like to mention that I would be upgrading my cpu as soon as skylake comes out so don't flack me for pairing a 970 and a 2300 it dosent bottleneck much. like a 10fps difference over haswell.
