Hey, yesterday i placed an order on some components, and on my point of view, everything seems to work with together, but the thing is, I do only have a 500 wattage psu, so that's why I'm here, wondering.

The Setup:

Motherboard: Msi 970 Gaming
GPU: XFX Radeon R9 280 DD 3gb
CPU: AMD FX-8320 Black edition 3,5GHz
Memory: x3 Corsair 2gb (3x2gb) (unknown name)
SSD: Corsair Force Series 3 CSSD-F60GB3-BK 2.5" 60GB SATA III Internal SSD
PSU: Coolermaster Thunder 500W
Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-02
Other: x4 120mm fans (x3 Corsair AF120, x1 some random fan), original CPU fan for fx-8320

Usb Powered "components" :
1TB External harddrive
Logitech G105
Steelseries Sensei
Logitech G930

Will it work?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Very undersized power supply. It is labeled as a 500W, but is in reality a 400W power supply. It offers a single 6+2 pin PCIe graphics power connector. Your video card requires an additional 6-pin connector.

I would not risk it and immediately replace the supply with something like an XFX 550W, Antec High Current Gamer 520W. Super Flower, Seasonic, even Cooler Master has some very good models.

Well, will have to order one of thoose then, since I already have the PSU.
Good thing that i decided to ask here, so that I wouldn't start the build without knowing, thanks! :)

Also, I just discovered, now afterwards, that the PSU not exactly is the one I've written in the post, the name of it is Cooler Master B500, which actually have x2 PCI-e 6+2 Pin.

Should I still concider replacing the current PSU, or would this one actually work, wattage wise?
