I overclocked my gpu and the screen literally went to hell (sadly, it doesn't go back from hell)

Okay so, I have a ASUS Ati radeon HD 5450, been thinking of upgrading for a few months already, but I'll have to buy a new mobo and cpu because the current one will bottleneck (it's a celleron from like, 2011 after all..). ANYWAY, I overclocked the gpu thinking I can get a few more FPS in games such as Euro Truck Simulator 2 (running at ~20ish fps), but I <<edited by moderator>> up by doing so and now when I boot Windows, it works fine for a bit and after that the screen goes to hell.

The pics are on my phone and I'll try to transfer them to the pc, although I don't think USB works in safe mode. I tried to remove the drivers, which I managed to do, restarted, works fine for a bit, then goes to hell, again.

This happened to me when I overclocked my GPU slightly too much. Providing you have the drivers for it, just reset the GPU back to normal settings and you should be OK. :)

Yeah, I removed the drivers and the catalyst manager from the system in safe mode (I found some thread here which explains how to add audio in safe mode, that thread lead to one site which showed me how to uninstall stuff in safe mode), and now i'm using the regular windows drivers and it works damn fine!

Case closed!

Brilliant.
