Beginner: Don't Need to Remove Standoffs When Upgrade MOBO?

Okay I was just concerned if I need to remove them and put others in. I guess incompatibility. It's been awhile since my first build. I know the standoffs are needed. Just wondered if I can just use the same one. I don't even remember where the standoffs came from. I guess it came with the chassis? I have the white Corsair 500R.
