Would you notice the difference between SATA 3 (6gb/s) or SATA 2 (3gb/s) with an SSD?

Im wanting to know whether there is a noticeable difference between with SATA 3 and SATA 2 when using an SSD?

If you did back to back comparisons, probably. If you are used to a HDD and switch to an SSD the difference will be SO great that you won't know you are missing anything.

If you only have Sata II, go for a budget SSD as the port will limit the speed of any current SSD. Crucail MX100 for example. If you have Sata III, you should get the full benefit of the fastest SSDs.

But as mentioned above, comapred to a mechanical HD, any new SSD will seem blazing fast.

Thanks, the problem was is that there are not many AM3+ Motherboards that are Micro ATX at the moment, we'll there used to be some but all with SATA 3 have been discontinued which is very irritating...
