Hi,
I have a Super Micro "x8st3-f" and I would like to know how it can boot from a SAS drive without RAID? I install my Centos succecfully but there is nothing in BIOS which I can set boot from SAS!

BR,

If the SAS drive is not in the list, then you can't boot from it. According to the manual, the motherboard can boot from a SATA disk, a CD/DVD, etc., but there's no mention of SAS disks or the LSI controller. You are not using RAID, but did you confirm that it can boot from the LSI controller if RAID mode is used?

Yes not using Raid, But if I enable Raid then I can boot from LSI controller.
But I would like to try using Linux Raid and seems not possible.
Trying to use linux soft Raid because I got some failure over LSI raid on heavy load.
