HughesNet satellite internet cable modem has a default gateway address of 192.168.0.1, the same as my TP-Link C7 AC1750. can

Solution
This is the manual for your router. Go to 4.4.2 - LAN, page 32, where you enter IP address for your LAN. Change it to e.g. 192.168.1.1, without the router being connected to the dish. Restart, make sure that you can connect to it, then connect the dish.

I apologize for the.confusion. The satellite installer used the term Gateway, but hr meant IP Address. Still, the HughesNet's modem only has one ethernet port. Its address is.192.168.0.1, same as the router., you can see the conflict. The tp-link router is not automatically adjusting,. everything is set for DHCP.. I switched over to My old d-link 655 which is working but obsolete.I don't know why the tp-link will not adjust automatically since it is new. For the time being, I guess I will just have to Make do.

That's because your dish gave the router the same address as router' default LAN address. Usually, ISPs don't give private IP addresses (as are 192.168.x.x) to their customers, so router' manufactures assume that 192.168.0.x is safe default for LAN address space.
