So I recently bought a second R9 290 for crossfire. My issue is pretty much as mentioned in the title:
When I use crossfire on a game, say tomb raider or really any game with v-sync enabled, I get severe cracking in the sound of youtube videos or any videos I watch on my second monitor. Is this normal, and if it is/isn't, is there any way to fix it like enabling my processor's graphics and just letting it handle my second monitor? (I haven't done this because I'm afraid something will break if I try to do that with crossfire on.)
Things I've done already:
-Updated drivers.
-Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers clean.
-Looked online only to find that people with the same issue only had this issue around february of last year and earlier, with nothing else mentioned on it afterwards.
My relevant specs are:
i5 4690k overclocked to 4.4 Ghz
2 R9 290
Asus Z97-A motherboard
256 gigabyte ssd from intel
1 TB hard drive
16 gigabyte ram
1000 watt EVGA power supply
