Greeting everyone and thanks for any help.

History: Pc was hard freezing while playing games
(fixed after removing 1 ram stick)
Pc then would only turn on 1 in every 5 powerups.
cleaned pc of virus
Seemed fine, then while playing skyrim my duel screen set up went crazy.
(ill explain)
with two monitors i usually play skyrim on one and a have a website on the other, when it went crazy the whole display(both monitors combined) went black for 1 second and reappeared but were shifted 1 foot to the left. ie the left screen now shows 1/2 of the right screen.
so while playing skyrim on one monitor it now shows 1/2 of skyrim and 1/2 of a website.

i flipped out and wiped the whole computer, new install of windows and deleted all old files.

This is where my pc skills fizzle out.
After new install of windows 7 it would boot up and crash before i could log in,
After running in safe mode and repairing files i can now log in.

Now pc crashes straight away after i log in.
i need to install drivers for mother board/sound/video/anything else/windows service pack.
The problem is i cannot do any of this in safe mode.

My mother board is
http://au.msi.com/support/mb/X58AGD45.html#down-bios
i do not know which ones i need to install or in what order.

-sound drivers (not sure)

-graphics card is XFS RADEON HD 6850
i downloaded AMD driver auto update and it got me the latest ones.

windows update will not open at all in safe mode.

Have i made my situation clear enough?
pc crashes after log in

i think this may be caused by missing drivers or software or windows service pack.

i also have avast installed.
please let me know if ive missed anything.

oh and i only have 1 monitor working atm, but i can figure that out on my own after we get this working.

D/l and install the latest BIOS as the others are rolled into the newest revision. D/l and install the rest of the board drivers after seeing if the BIOS update will allow you to boot normally. Did you ever run memtest86 on your ram after you removed the one stick? That will tell you if your ram is good or needs replacing.

***edit
Turn off your AV while you are getting your updates. You can enable it later when you have all updates installed.

i have no experience with bios and would probably ruin the motherboard.
and yes, the remaining ram, is good.
thanks for your reply.
