Hello mates, I have been trying to get a new PC for quite some times now, but this time my birthday is coming up next month, so my mom told me that she will give me one to replace my Inspiron 660s, and I started looking around the internet on guides to build one, and I have been able to come up with this one : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vPjfjX , However I ran up into a problem when I remembered that I would need a wireless adapter, but reading my motherboard specs I found that it has only one 1 PCI-express x16 and 2 PCI-express x1, and it said that using the x16 would make the x1s unusable, so I can't place it, and I don't know anything about building so I wanted to ssee if someone could help me out, and I was also wishing to see if there is anything wrong with this build, because my mom would be pissed off if it didn't work. My alternative for building (Which my mom thinks to be too risky) is to buy a pre-built one, like Alienware, so I would appreciate if anyone would point on the right direction here, have great day, thanks for your time.

The only way x1 would be unusable is if you are using tripple slot card that blocks the x1, with this build you should have no problem with using the 2nd *lower* x1 slot... Also alienware has good configured builds. i would suggest you to add aditional 30-40$ and buy a z87/z97 board :)

Will it be any good for gaming and stuff ?

Thanks for the reply.

Edit : I have found this MOBO based on the upgrade suggested above : http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z87a and I would like to know if it would be better than my old one and if it is compatible with my other parts, and also if this would make the adapter workable, even though the same thing is said on this MOBO's specs.

Bringing the build to this : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BZq6dC

Anu problems with it in any way ?

If you want a "Z" board and only going to use one gpu is this one good too,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z97pro4
there is a cheaper one of the Z87 you linked,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z87anfcexpressedition
for a little more would i goo for this if you looked at a "Z" board with sli option,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97xud3h
for sli is the psu not enough btw.

A usb wifi card will work fine too like,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwn822n
for W8 are drivers to be downloaded for their site. The green led can be annoying when in sight, but it can be moved around for a better signal.

Cases are really personal, but i would pick one with better clearance for larger gpu's just in case. Not a bad case btw.Looked further and according to Antec,

Maximum CPU cooler height 6.1" ; 155 mm
is for the "One" and the hyper 212 evo is higher.

I told him to go for the Z board, H board has the sli option as well, and the difference from Z is the ability to OC ... i used quad SLI board with only one card for a while, later on i decided to upgrade, swapped PSU and added another GPU... i always go for the ABILITY to upgrade easyer than for instant all in one :) but that is just my opinion...

You can look at these for instance,
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/cooler-master-case-nse400kkn2%2Ccorsair-case-cc9011036ww%2Cenermax-case-eca3290ag%2Cnzxt-case-caso22001/
there are more optons if you want to know them.Pick what you like, just keep an eye on the specs.Look for these at the manufacturers site.

What would be the real difference between the two ? I seen that it has a NFC Express capability but so far it seems to be kind of nonrewarding to buy this version, could you please explain further? Thank you for your answers and time.
