Hi Everyone,
Firstly Ill start with my build -
CPU - Intel 5960x (OC'd to 4ghz)
Motherboard - Gigabyte X99 UD4
Graphics Cards - 2x GTX 770 4gb in SLI (Reference Cards)
PSU - Corsair RM1000
Memory - Currently Using some random Samsung ddr4 ram sticks , 2 x 4 gb (Total 8) , my original Corsair Dominators were faulty and are going to be replaced.
Storage - Samsun Evo 850 512gb
Monitor 1 - Asus VG278h 27" 3d Monitor
Monitor 2 - Dell 24" Monitor (Forgot Model)
I normally played on a single 24" Dell Monitor and on Tomb Raider 2013 , with everything on the highest setting and Tress-Fx enabled, i would get a stable average of 50fps - 70fps at 1080p
When i received my new monitor, im now dual screening, and playing on my Asus VG278h 27" 3d Monitor as my main monitor for gaming and 2nd monitor is used for just chrome/youtube/desktop etc, with the exact same Graphics settings on Tomb Raider, I now get 20-35 FPS avg , is it common for my DPS to drop by more than half/ about half, when i use 2 monitors ? cause i doubt it should. I also doubt that my RAM could be bottlenecking the performance and it didnt hinder the fps BEFORE the dual screen came in (doesnt even use more than 6gb of ram at one time anyway)
Yes SLI is enabled
Yes I'm using an SLI Bridge (using the MB's Gigabyte Tri-SLI bridge which connects both the left and the right sli connectors, as it looks much better than the 2way-SLI single cable)
Any help regarding this would be great, maybe various background programs could be affecting this? new monitor is 3d-vision ready, could that be affecting the performance, even when its not being used?
