Sorry to bother you guys with this but I can't find my answers anywhere else... So - hopefully someone here has the answer(s)... Hopefully...

I have 2 computers that I am trying to upgrade - they are exactly identical in every way EXCEPT "size". I have the HP DC7900 - one is a "Convertible Mini-Tower", the other is the "Small Form Factor"... Both computers are presently running Windows 10 Tech preview, both computers have different versions of Windows 10 Tech Preview. One has been fully upgraded to the latest version the other is 2 versions behind. But, the OS doesn't matter at this time. They are easily reverted back to their OG of Windows 7 Ultimate. Neither computer is barking at the tech preview OS.

Okay - back onto my question.

I want to upgrade the PS for both and the GC for both. I can't find a PS "anywhere" that supports these particular machines -- if you know HP then you know their manipulating ways of monopolizing the fluidity of their systems and BOTH of these PS have odd shapes to them. Making the swap for a generic (not in term, but, rather 'as in non-HP') PS difficult. I haven't found one online, at Frys or any other electronics store in So Cal (near me).. I'm not feeling the stock 250W PS and want to upgrade it to at least 450 if not 650 for both computers.

Any ideas on where or how to obtain one that is "case compatible" ?

...

Now, the Graphics Card.

I can't figure out what the "best" graphics card that I can get for these systems is. I presently have (in the low profile case <small form>) nothing special, just the stock integrated.
But, for the Mini-Tower I have an AMD R7 series Radeon 750 - I want to upgrade both. My preference is to upgrade the Small Form Factor PC first and then the mini-tower (which, btw, isn't really "mini" lol) ...

I do, do, gaming - but it's light - nothing too heavy... WoW, D3, LoL - that's about it.

With exception to the Mini-tower having the R7-250 GC and BOTH computers having been upgraded to 8GB memory as well as running OS-Win10TechPreview - everything else with the computers is stock.

N E one out there have ideas?

Please review this information, ignoring the OS10 concept - we're assuming Microsoft will finish it someday and when that day happens I'll worry about peripherals. In the interim, I have licensed copies of every Version of Windows that ever existed (yes, even back before Windows 3.0) so - I can always drop 7 or 8 and move forward if needed.

Thanks

The issue with going a branded PC rather than a assembled one is the one you're facing at the moment. Yes you"ll need atleast a 450W PSU. I looked up into the case , to fit any 450W PSU in the small form factor seems a bit difficult. But you could try with the SilverStone SFX series PSU. Though i don't appreciate the quality of the PSU from this manufacturer, but it seems you dont have any other Option. I looked for some manufacturers but couldn't find any other with the better credibility than the one suggested above.

For the GFX, keeping in mind games you play a GTX 750Ti would be decent buy. Also it only needs 400W PSU.

You need to change that cabinet, it wouldn't do anything to you pocket just buy some normal 30-50$ cabinet
For that games you wont need anything more than a 450W psu and a GTX 750Ti(i am not going too low with the gpu so you can be a bit futureproof)
Here's the link to buy all of them

I wanted to take a moment to thank BOTH of you - VERY much.... I was more struggling with the PS than I was the Graphics Card... I have the Radeon that works in the mini-tower and is doing quite well but it is outdated; however I have not been able to find a matching PS anywhere. I did look up the Silverstone though (at your suggestion) and it does appear as though it is HP case compatible which is awesome because these lousy 250W's blow.

As for the graphics card, I was eyeballing that Asus GTX 750 and now that 2 dif people suggested it, I'm moving forward with it for both CPU's -- I found it at Fry's for around 150 which isn't too bad.

Thanks, Again !
