I'm trying to stick to a $1400 AUD budget. I want to play new releases on high settings for the next few years. Tell me what you think.

One thing:
- Purposely didn't include SSD. I'll be adding one in the future when I have more money.

Not that you will need 750W, though; your build would barely use 400. But it's a great bang for the buck.

i dont think a 500w PSU will be enough to run a 290

Definitely not, true. Especially not the Corsair CX. It would be a challenge even for much better PSUs. The bare minimum would be 550W, and even that is pushing it.

No, it is not, it is a tier 3 according to this list:

Ideally, you want a tier 1 or 2 PSU for gaming, especially with a graphics card that uses so much power.

We gave you the link to the one which is OK. If that is out of your budget, please tell how much are you willing to spend on the PSU. Note that a quality PSU will cost you above 90 AUD in any case.

I'd prefer to spend maximum $90 and maybe $100 if absolutely necessary.

Yes, it is a tier 2 PSU and has enough power, so you are good to go.
