Depends if you mean idle or load. Are you using a stock cooler? liquid cooling? You never want to be kept at 80C for long periods of time and at 85-90C the pc shuts down. Your idle can very depending upon the cooling you have, but I wouls say below 45c.
I didn't say keep it there. 80c is not going to fry the cpu. It would shut down before that. Come on crash at 60c? Who is wrong? I think I need some screen shots of my cpu at 65c under heavy load. Someone else comment on a cpu crashing at 65c?
