hey guyz i have bought FLIGHT SIMULATOR X recently but the problem was that my cd rom was not working so i installed it on a another laptop.. and copied the content of it to my computer ... but the problem arises when i purchased PMDG 747 for fsx so when i started to install it . it sayed your registry doesn't show a valid FSX installation location... and my laptop was taken away ... by my roomate for 14 day trip...so no chances for installing it for PMDG on the laptop

Wouldn't have worked anyway. You can't just copy game files from system to system like that. (With the exception of Steam games, which 're-install' games when launched from the copied files)

If you lack a disc drive then the only option would be to create an image of the disc, copy the image to the destination computer, mount the image using Windows (8 or 8.1) or installing a virtual disk drive (Daemon Tools Lite, Power ISO, etc) and then run the installer.

It doesn't work like that. When installed, an application may create dozens, or even thousands of Registry entries.
You can't just copy/paste. You have to actually use the install routine.
